The terms in plain words
- Price
- $99 for 12 months, paid once. This is our founding rate: if the price for new purchases ever goes up, you keep $99 at every renewal you're entitled to.
- What you get
- For 12 months from the day it goes live, your stay shows first in its place's list of stays, on a slightly brighter card with a ★ Featured badge.
- Two slots per place
- Each dark sky place has two Featured slots, ever. When both are taken, you can join that place's waitlist instead, and requests wait in the order they arrive.
- No auto-renewal
- We never store your card and never charge you again automatically. Nothing renews unless you choose to pay again.
- Reminders
- We email you 30 days and 7 days before your term ends. If you do nothing, Featured placement ends on the end date and the slot opens.
- Renewing
- You can always renew your first term. After two terms in a row, if the place has a waitlist, the slot passes to the oldest request on your end date; if it has no waitlist, you can renew again. Joining a waitlist never pushes out a host whose term is paid. Your 30-day reminder says whether you can renew, and that answer holds for a renewal paid before your term ends.
- Refunds
- If two hosts pay for a place's last slot before the site shows it as taken, the later payment is refunded in full and that host goes to the top of the waitlist. If we decline the listing you're featuring, we refund you in full.
